Katie & Nicholas – The Bull’s Head, Chislehurst
It was a beautiful day for the wedding of Katie & Nicholas, who had chosen to get married and celebrate at the Bull’s Head in Chislehurst. The Bull’s Head dates back to the 18th century and is situated in a very picturesque part of Chislehurst.
The bridal suite was amazing and the perfect backdrop to all the hair, makeup and giddy excitement that ensued. There is a massive four posted bed that help to create some very stylish portraits of the wedding party and Katie herself. Katie had the most unique wedding shoes that one of her friends had created with loads of cut out Disney characters covering the whole of the shoes surface. Katies Father was great and boy was this guy emotional seeing his beautiful daughter take the next chapter in her life for the first time. You can’t help but get a lump in your throat, seeing the bond they have and the love he has for her.
After bridal prep I shot down stairs to see Nicholas and his groomsmen, all looking very sharp in their navy blue suites. If Nicholas was nervous he was definitely not showing any signs on the outside. Before I knew it the guest were starting to arrive and the moment for Katie to make her entrance was fast approaching. There was a great mix of young and old, family and friends who made their presence known by cheering and clapping the newly weds.
There was a welcome drinks reception in the grounds and after a select few formal shots Katie, Nicholas and myself went for a small walk to get some natural portraits shots. We walked through the grounds of Chislehurst church which was directly behind the Bull’s Head and treated us to lush greenery and an avenue of trees.
Ric Machin had been booked and was busy penning his wonderful caricatures of the guests as we arrived back. The meal and speeches all went off without a hitch and the evening was spent cutting some moves on the dance floor with their friends.
